Look, we have more drywall and a mailbox!

The drywall was delayed due to a staffing issue, which has since been corrected. We now have a professional drywall installer brought in to do the job. I am so relieved to see the drywall finally going up. The installer was working on it while I was taking pictures. Oh, and we now have a mailbox!

It's getting closer!

Due to the extreme weather, the drywall installation has taken longer than anticipated. The storage room is fully drywalled and the other rooms are moving along. Hopefully, painting can begin next week. Thank you for your patience. The space is going to be awesome when it is done!

More drywall...

Last night they hung more drywall. The crew is working during the evening hours, due to the heat and not AC in the space. They are coming back this evening to hang the rest. It is so exciting to see the progress!

Drywall is being installed!

Drywall is going up! The inspection process was painful, but we finally got through that series of them and now we can start seeing some big progress. The painting will begin next Wednesday, which means Zoom classes next week too. Also, I am sorry to say that we will not be in the dojo for the Zoom seminar with Miyazato Sensei.

Permits, permits, permits....

Today the cubby benches came in, so exciting! Unfortunately, we are still waiting on the last permits to be approved, which means drywall is not up yet. Hopefully within the next day or so it will go up. The electrical box apparently has power now, there are labeled switches. Also, the mirrors are ordered and waiting on a firm installation date. I can’t wait for us to train in this new space, until then we will still have classes via Zoom.
