Starting tonight, we will have classes in the dojo! Wear your tennis shoes to class for now. The floor is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. Now, I am off to bring all the things to the dojo for us, see you soon!
The light switch has been changed, but…
The light switch was changed early this morning, which is great news. However, the earliest appointment for the inspector to come out and verify it is on Monday at 1:30 pm. We will cross our fingers and hope that all goes well, and we get our occupancy permit on Monday. Today classes will be held via Zoom.
We might be in the dojo tomorrow, yay!
Classes will be held via Zoom tonight. During the final inspection today, the inspector found one thing that must be changed, a specific light switch must be used in the utility closet. The electrician is coming early in the morning to change it out. Then the inspector must come back and verify that it is complete. We are super exited; the mirrors are ordered and being installed on Tuesday. Also, the mat floors have been ordered and should be delivered in 2-5 business days. We are so very close now!
Our final HVAC inspection passed today!
Our final occupancy permit inspection is on Wednesday, August 10th at 2 pm. Cross your fingers that all goes well, and we can be in our new dojo this week! In the meantime, my house looks like an Amazon shipping warehouse. These are the new packages that came in this week. I have many more items ready to go that have been stored in my basement.

Description: For all current and past students, it is time for our annual Karate Family Potluck Picnic. We will be in the large pavilions in the very back of the park, next to restrooms, basketball court, playground, and bike trail. Hot dogs, condiments, forks/spoons/knives, plates, napkins, and water will be provided. Please bring a dish to share with everyone and non-alcoholic drinks for your family. We recommend bringing water guns for added fun. We will need to know the number of people in your household who will be attending, so the correct number of hot dogs are purchased.
