Yay, we have video capabilities now!

This weekend the TV, sound bar, and camera were installed. Thank you, Zy! Now we can participate in Zoom training with Sensei Iha as a group. This is going to make these training sessions so much more fun and productive.

The mirrors are up.

The mirrors look great! Unfortunately, we could only put them on one wall. If they were on both sides then it would create a house of mirrors effect, which is very disorientating. Also, we can’t touch or clean them for 7 days. It takes that long for them to set properly. If they do not set properly the reflections would be distorted.

Makiwaras are installed!

We now have makiwaras in the dojo. A special shout out to Great Lakes Leathercraft, LLC for making the amazing long covers. We also have outside benches. Soon, we will have beautiful planters to compliment them. But first we need to find the right ones. More improvements are coming this weekend. We can’t wait to share them with you!    

It was nice to be back to mostly normal again.

Today we held our Annual Karate Family Potluck Picnic for the first time since the pandemic. We had a lot of fun enjoying the amazing weather and friends! The kids had fun playing on the playground and engaging in an epic water gun fight.
