We had some students pass their belt rank test on December 2nd and 11th. We are very proud of how hard they have worked to earn their new ranks!
Faulkingham Sensei hosted the annual Gateway Shidokan Karate Holiday Party this past weekend. It is always fun to celebrate with friends. Just as years passed, the Rob Your Neighbor game proved to be full of fun and drama. The kids had free rein of the basement for their epic Nerf battle, Rock Band, and lots of fun. This past weekend we had the privilege of participating in the Miyazato Dojo annual training seminar via Zoom. Unfortunately, due to time zones and work schedules, we were not able to participate in all the training sessions. We are greatly appreciative of the opportunity to train with our friends in Argentina. We hope you enjoy the pictures below; many are courtesy of the Miyazato Dojo Association.
Gateway Shidokan Karate will be training as a group at the dojo for the Miyazato Training Seminar on Friday, November 10th, from 5 -7 pm. Afterwards, we will be going to Syberg’s on Dorsett. We are looking forward to training with our dear friends in Argentina and hope to see you there.
Reminder: There will be no karate classes this Tuesday, October 31st, due to Halloween. Also, students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to class this week. Keep in mind that we will be training. Costumes should be modified for appropriateness and safety, if needed. We look forward to seeing everyone’s costumes this week!
